How do I use the calculator?
The mathematical functions of the calculator are very much like those on a standard scientific calculator. Enter a number using either the keyboard or by pressing the calculator buttons and perform mathematical functions by pressing the buttons. Select the number of decimal places to display by using the menu on the left hand side. The calculator also offers useful chemical features:
enter a chemical formula using standard notation including square and round brackets and press return to calculate its relative molecular mass
enter a chemical, physical or mathematical constant into a calculation by using the drop down menu on the right hand side.
convert between common units used in chemistry and science by entering the number to convert, selecting its units using one of the drop down menus on the right hand side and then select the units you wish to convert to.
